THE ARAL SEA TRAGEDY

As I explained in class, the Aral Sea, the 4th largest inland sea in the World is soffering a tragedy since 20 years. Its surface has decreased almost the 80 per cent in the last 20 years because of overxploitaition of water supply and pollution.

Below, there are two link:  in both of them you can see the transformations through satellite pictures of the Aral Sea, from 2000 to 2011. Those picture were taken by the NASA and are very interesting.

I think it is a tragedy because the people fish in the sea and if the sea disappear they haven't got fish to sell and to eat. They also need water to survive and if they haven't got them, that part of the Earth will be a desert.

I think it is a tragedy because people used the sea for fishing and now that part it is a desert, so they cannot have fish to eat. They also used the water to survive but now that part of the Earth will be
completly dry and people need the water.

I think it's a tragedy because there is no sea if people can not fish, and there are people who live by fishing, and if there is no sea fish and if there are no fish, there would be many people who live in it. I also think that the water is very important for life because we could not live without water, because we have to hydrate with water.
